Portrait of Charles II of England. Born 29 May 1630 in London, England. Died 6 February 1685 in London, England. Copper engraving by Frederik Bouttats (1590-1661), c. 1660. Reasonable condition. Margins trimmed to the border. Portrait cut-out and placed in a seperately printed decorative border. Both the portrait and the border in a nice contemporary colouring. Paper slightly browned. Mounted on verso: a contemporary coloured portrait of Claire Clemence de Maille-Breze, Princess of Conde (1628-1694). Copper engraving by Frederik Bouttats (1590-1661), placed in a seperately printed decorative border. Traces of former mounting on the right. Dimensions: 158 x 114 mm. Charles II of England was Aristocrat, King, Duke, Prince of Wales, King of England, King of Scotland, King of Ireland, Prince, Member of the house of Stuart, Duke of Rothesay, and Duke of Cornwall.
