Portrait of Titus Tatius. Born in ancient Cures, Italy. Died c. 740/745 AD. Etching and Engraving by Theodoor Galle (1571-1633), 1606. Good condition. Paper with ample margins. A nice strong and early impression. Paper a bit browned and slightly soiled, with some browning along edges and some minor creasing. Verso: blank. Note: dimensions reflect the plate mark. Dimensions: 144 x 106 mm. Titus Tatius was King, Mythological figure, King of the Sabines, and Joint-ruler of the Kingdom of Rome.
