Description
Relisted due to previous "buyer" not paying. This is an antique Victorian Conta & Boehme trinket box 1850-1870, the well-known "child falling asleep at meal time", and it's a particularly fine example, in my opinion. Height around 9cm. Made in Germany. This has been in my mother's glass cabinet for many decades, and the above information comes from her original notes at the time of purchase, taken from a catalogue, but please decide for yourselves! She stuck it with blue-tack for some reason. I'll leave it on, as it will help "cushion" it for transport though you'll probably want to scrape it off later.... I believe that Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) cleans it completely but I'm not going to mess with it! Thanks for looking
