Timeless Rare 19C English Porcelain Staffordshire Dalmatian Figural Mantle Dog Pair • Length 4.75” This stunning rare 19C English Staffordshire dalmatian mantle ink well quill holder table dog pair is hand painted with spotted coats, gold aristocratic accessories and cobalt pillow base on which the figures are seated in semi-recumbent formal pose. Highly desirable and scarce with black nose and hand painted markings which are densely spotted, a nice feature to this particular pair as compared to the more commonly found markings, this elegant right and left facing pair will surely bring a touch of the English countryside to any setting in which it is placed whether paired on its own as a focal point or grouped as part of a collection or arrangement. Minimal expected age related post production wear to this beautiful rare find. Marvelous and extremely scarce surviving period example.
Everything about this purchase was excellent. The lambs are in perfect condition and the price was was. They were shipped promptly and packaged with exceptional care. Although the items inside are fragile, they were wrapped in protective layers, placed in a small box, then wrapped and secured in more layers of bubble wrap and paper before being placed in another box. There was no chance of damage! Many thank to the seller for a purchase that makes me very happy.
