Portrait of William, Duke of Saxe-Weimar. Born 11 April 1598 in Altenburg, Germany. Died 17 May 1662 in Weimar, Germany. Copper engraving, c. 1620. Reasonable condition. Margins trimmed to the plate mark. Paper a bit browned and a bit soiled. Some faint staining. The print mounted onto later paper. This in turn mounted onto modern paper. Note: dimensions reflect the plate mark. Dimensions: 167 x 110 mm. William, Duke of Saxe-Weimar was Member of the House of Wettin, Duke of Saxe-Weimar, Duke of Saxe-Weimar and Jena, and Ruler of Saxe-Eisenach.
