Portrait of Pieter Elzevier. Born 1673 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Died 7 April 1754 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Etching and Engraving by Jacob Houbraken (1698-1780), after Jan Maurits Quinkhard (1688-1772), 1753. Good condition. Paper with ample margins, but slightly soiled. A horizontal fold in the upper margin and some overal but minor creasing. With some very small tears along the bottom edge (not affecting the image by far). Verso: blank. Dimensions: 338 x 238 mm. Pieter Elzevier was Preacher, Theologian, Preacher in Amsterdam, Protestant preacher, Preacher in Enkhuizen, Preacher in Sprang, and Preacher in Nieuwkerk.
