Portrait of Philistis. Etching and Engraving by Theodoor Galle (1571-1633), 1606. Good condition. Paper with ample margins. A nice strong and early impression. Paper slightly browned and slightly soiled, with some browning along edges and some minor creasing. Verso: blank. Note: dimensions reflect the plate mark. Dimensions: 143 x 104 mm. Philistis was Queen, Queen of Syracuse, Only known from her coins, and Wife of Hieron II.
