Portrait of Marie Antoinette of Austria. Born 2 November 1755 in Vienna, Austria. Died 16 October 1793 in Paris, France. Etching, and Aquatint by Jean Duplessis-Bertaux (1747-1819), after Jean Duplessis-Bertaux (1747-1819), c. 1800. Good condition. Paper with ample margins and uncut edges. Some minor creasing. Verso: blank. Note: a fine aquatint portrait with a small historical scene below it and text in French. From the rare series "Collection de Portraits Representant les Personnages qui ont le plus marque dans la Revolution Francaise, (...) 13eme livraison". Dimensions: 366 x 224 mm. Marie Antoinette of Austria was Queen of France, Queen, Archduchess of Austria, Victim of the Reign of Terror, Wife of Louis XVI of France, "L�Autrichienne", "Madame Deficit", and "Madame Veto".
