Portrait of Marcus Claudius Marcellus. Born 42 BC in Rome, Italy. Died 23 BC in Rome, Italy. Etching and Engraving by Theodoor Galle (1571-1633), 1606. Reasonable condition. Paper with ample margins. A nice strong and early impression. Paper a bit soiled, with some browning along edges and some creasing. Overall, but faint to very faint spotting. Verso: blank. Note: dimensions reflect the plate mark. Dimensions: 142 x 102 mm. Marcus Claudius Marcellus was Military leader, Nephew of Augustus, and Closest male relative of Augustus.
