Portrait of John Nichols. Born 2 February 1745 in London, England. Died 26 November 1826. Stipple engraving by Anthony Cardon (1772-1813), after Henry Edridge (1768-1821), 1813. Reasonable condition. Short margins, almost trimmed to the border. Paper slightly soiled, with some minor creasing. Verso: blank, with traces of former mounting and an unidentified collection stamp. Note: dimensions reflect the entire leaf. Dimensions: 293 x 189 mm. John Nichols was Author, Printer, Editor, Antiquary, and Editor of the "Gentleman's Magazine".
