Portrait of Frederick William, Elector of Brandenburg. Born 16 February 1620 in Berlin, Germany. Died 29 April 1688 in Potsdam, Germany. Etching and Engraving, c. 1650. Good condition. A beautiful strong and early impression. Paper a bit soiled. Some minor browning along edges and some minor creasing. Some very minor spotting in the left margin. Verso: blank. Note: dimensions reflect the plate mark. Dimensions: 178 x 128 mm. Frederick William, Elector of Brandenburg was Aristocrat, Duke, Elector of Brandenburg, Prince-elector, Prince, Military commander, Duke of Prussia, Member of the House Hohenzollern, Member of the House of Hohenzollern, Served in the Thirty Years' War, Knight in the Order of the Garter, Ruler of Brandenburg-Prussia, and "the Great Elector".
