Portrait of Carlo de' Medici. Born 19 March 1595 in Florence, Italy. Died 17 June 1666 in Florence, Italy. Etching and Engraving by Adriaen Haelwegh (1639 - c. 1700), c. 1670. Reasonable condition. Paper slightly browned and slightly soiled. With minor creasing, mainly along edges. Some minor spotting, mainly affecting the margins. Small tears in the right and lower margins, both not affecting the image. Verso: blank. Dimensions: 347 x 245 mm. Carlo de' Medici was Aristocrat, Cardinal, Bishop, Clergyman, Cardinal-bishop of Sabina, Cardinal-bishop of Ostia, Cardinal-Deacon of San Nicola in Carcere, Cardinal-Bishop of Porto e Santa Rufina, Member of the House of Medici, Deacon, Cardinal-deacon of Santa Maria in Domnica, Cardinal-Deacon of Sant'Eustachio, Cardinal-Deacon, Dean of the College of Cardinals, Vice-Dean of the College of Cardinals, Son of Ferdinando I de' Medici, Cardinal Bishop, and Cardinal protodeacon at the conclave of 1644.
