Portrait of Antiochus VIII Epiphanes. Born c. 141 BC. Died 96 BC. Etching and Engraving by Theodoor Galle (1571-1633), 1606. Good condition. Paper with ample margins. A nice strong and early impression. Paper a bit soiled, with some browning along edges and some minor creasing. Verso: blank. Note: dimensions reflect the plate mark. Dimensions: 139 x 98 mm. Antiochus VIII Epiphanes was King, Military leader, Ruler of the Seleucid Empire, Basileus of the Seleucid Empire, King of Syria, "Antiochus VIII Grypus", and "Antiochus VIII Callinicus/Philometor".
