Kingsport TN Gospel-Aires Quartet The Light On The River Southern Gospel Christian Vinyl LP Record SEALED The Gospel-Aires Quartet are members of the Orebank Free Will Baptist Church where I have been the pastor for twenty-five years. Also, they sing on "The Old-Fashioned Gospel Hour, "a radio program which I have con- ducted for over twenty years each Sunday morning on WKIN from 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. I hope they will be a blessing to you as they sing for the glory of God and try to win lost souls to him. Rev. Earl Austin Pastor Orebank Free Will Baptist Church Kingsport, Tennessee The Gospel-Aires Quartet are from Kingsport, Tennessee. They are all members of The Orebank Free Will Baptist Church. They are newcomers to the recording scene. It is with great pleasure that they introduce this, their first album. I believe the key to singing for the glory of God is to be a consecrated Christian and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, edifying God's people and bringing lost souls to Christ. The Gospel-Aires Quartet prove beyond a doubt that they are humble, sincere Christians that really know what they are singing about, as I am sure you will agree as you listen to this album. The Quartet consists of Marvin Winkle singing the lead and playing rhythm guitar. Marvin is also a minister. Marie, his wife, is singing alto. Billy Joe Sims, brother of Marie, is singing tenor, and Rev. Earl Austin, pastor of Orebank Free Will Baptist Church, is singing bass. Rev. Austin has been pastor of the church for twenty-five years. He has been singing with the group for approximately one year. Rev. Austin and his wife Matelene have two daughters, Maryanne and Gloria Jean. Marvin and Marie have been singing since childhood in church services and revivals, each one with their own group. After their marriage, which Rev. Austin performed, they organized The Gospel-Aires Quartet. They have been singing on Rev. Austin's radio broadcast for nineteen years. The quartet, along with Rev. Austin, can be heard each Sunday morning from 7:30 a.m. til 8:00 a.m. on WKIN Radio, Kingsport, Tennessee. Billy Joe is 18 years old and single, a fine young man, dedicated to the church. Billy Joe plays bass guitarfor the church choir. Marvin and Marie have one son, Marvin, Jr., 18 years old, also single. Marvin, Jr., plays lead guitarfor the Quartet on appointments and also for the Young People's Choir at the church. Marlyn Jean Osborne Side One 1.
