Hello and Welcome! Incredible pair of vintage Santo Domingo Pueblo thunderbird screw back earrings in beautiful, bright orange, turquoise blue, and a creamy white. Add a splash of color to your wardrobe! The buyer could swap out the screw backs for post earrings if they wished. This is an early to mid 20th century pair of Santo Domingo Depression Era Thunderbird earrings. Typical of this time period, the earrings are made with turquoise, various plastic materials, likely taken from things like battery casings, comb teeth, plastic utensils, or toothbrush handles, inlaid on a solid creamy white backing. The screw backs are in silver tone metal. The estimated time period that these were made was most likely during the Depression Era, c. 1930s. Size: 2-1/4 inches Long x a little over 1 inches Wide.
