Description
Description This print features a prayer written by Conrad N. Hilton and used in his speech titled "The Battle for Peace" given in Chicago, Illinois, on May 7, 1952. The requests for copies of the prayer were so numerous that Mr. Hilton had it published to be made available through nationally circulated magazines. The print is titled at the top "America on Its Knees" with a couple of introductory sentences. A blue horizontal line separates the title and text from the prayer and the color illustration of Uncle Sam on his knees with his hands foldered in prayer. Just above the lower edge of the print is Uncle Sam's top hat with the facsimile signature of Conrad N. Hilton beside it.
