15 Sept PE You are bidding on A WORLD WAR TWO National HOMECOMING FUND APPRECIATION VOUCHER I believe that this was presented to returning servicemen at the end of the war. From its style, I would say that this one is from World War Two, rather than World War One The card is headed HEDON HOMECOMING FUND Below this are the words :- The Enclosed Voucher value £3 is a Token of Appreciation from the Townspeople of the Borough of Hedon and may be presented for any article at Messrs Thornton – Varly Ltd., Prospect Street and Story Street, Hull, Messrs Whiting and Pitts, Jameson Street, Hull or to an Hedon Tradesman The voucher is on card similar to a contemporary invitation card. The card is white with blue writing and blue edging to its intricate edge. The car measures approximately 4 ½” x 3 ½” The card is in excellent condition, with no rips, tears, writing or other obvious flaws. Happy bidding! Postage: £1.19
