Description

The Lost King of Oz by Ruth Plumly Thompson. It is in the 1st State of the 1st Edition, 1st Printing from 1925 and has the correct letter "k" on line 4 of page 193 which is distorted in later states. The first state had a very limited print run so is very rare. There are 12 full page color illustrations all in fine condition. In excellent condition for a 100-year-old children's book, though it has lost its dust cover. There is some looseness in the covers, as shown in the pictures, but the binding remains strong with no loose or missing pages. Apart from the pasted in owner's bookplate, and a small handwritten "1927", I have found no other annotations, notes or highlights throughout. The book will ship safely boxed and insured for the full amount by USPS Media Mail. Reasonable offers are welcome for this rare 1st State of the 1st Edition.

  1. Excellent experience! Seller was extremely kind and kept me informed with details on ahipment. Item was shipped out very quickly, and was packaged very well. It was exactly as described and was a very fair price as well. Overall, one of the best sellers I have dealt with! If I could give him 20 stars, it wouldn't be enough, as everything was exceptional.
