Description

Self portrait with Saskia. Photogravure by Anonymous, after Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn (1606-1669), c. 1880. Reasonable condition. Paper with ample margins, but slighlty browned and rather soiled around edges. The edges slightly ragged. A small tear in the lower margin (not affecting the image by far). With a small piece of paper with an old manuscript annotation regarding the print in the right corner; the paper slighlty discoloured below. With a stamp in the lower right corner with the title of the print in French and catalogue references. Verso: blank. Dimensions: 102 x 91 mm. Catalog reference: Bartsch 19, copy.
