Portrait of Jacobus Boonen. Born 11 October 1573 in Antwerp, Belgium. Died 30 June 1655 in Brussels, Belgium. Etching and Engraving by Antony van der Does (1609-1680), after Gaspar de Crayer (1584-1669), 1641. Reasonable condition. A beautiful strong and early impression. Paper a bit soiled. Some minor browning along edges and some minor creasing. Short margins. Lacing the right margin. Verso: blank. Note: dimensions reflect the plate mark. Dimensions: 202 x 142 mm. Jacobus Boonen was Jurist, Bishop, Roman Catholic priest, Archbishop, Prelate, Bishop of Ghent, and Archbishop of Mechelen.
