Portrait of George Howard, 7th Earl of Carlisle. Born 18 April 1802 in Westminster, England. Died 5 December 1864 in Castle Howard, Yorkshire, England. Steel engraving, and Stipple engraving by Daniel John Pound (fl. 1842 - 1877), after John Jabez Edwin Paisley Mayall (1813-1901), 1859. Good condition. Ample margins. Paper very slightly browned along the margins. With some faint stains in the lower margin. Verso: blank. Dimensions: 215 x 169 mm. George Howard, 7th Earl of Carlisle was Stateman, Writer, Order of the Garter, Order of St Patrick, Privy Council of the United Kingdom, Orator, and Chief Secretary of Ireland.
