These contaminants mix with EGR gases, causing harmful sticky carbon buildup in the plastic intake manifold, swirl valves, and intake valves. This leads to reduced performance, poor fuel economy, higher EGTs, cylinder compression loss, increased emissions, and potential damage to engine components. The PPE Oil Catch Can Kit is designed to combat these issues effectively. Key features include molded, oil-resistant, one-inch-diameter PCV hoses and a highly efficient stainless steel filter screen, which removes oil and water vapor exiting the PCV valve. The long, one-inch hoses reduce the velocity of the mixture passing through the system, allowing the oil/water vapor to condense out of the mixture. This removal prevents nasty carbon buildup, ensuring your engine components remain clean and efficient. The kit also includes an additional aluminum oil reservoir, specially shaped to fit snugly in the tight space above the fender liner where it’s installed.
