Description

This is a vintage 1984 Marvel Comics Star Wars issue #81 titled "Jawas of Doom," featuring main characters Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker, and Han Solo. It is signed by Harrison Ford and the late Carrie Fisher, adding to its collectible value. The cover art is by Palmer, and the comic is from the Copper Age of comics. This key issue includes the return of Boba Fett and is a first printing in English language, making it a sought-after item for Star Wars fans and comic collectors. Signed by many of the original cast including Harrison Ford (Hans Solo), the late Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Temuera Morrrison (Boba Fett), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), and Kenny Baker (R2-D2). This is also a key issue, where Boba Fett returns and we are shown how he survived after falling into the Sarlaac’s Maw (Return of the Jedi). It features appearances from Han & Leia, Chewbacca, the Ewoks, Boba Fett, R2 & C-3PO, the Jawas, the Sand People, and even the Sarlaac! This is an awesome Copper Age comic, and is in near mint condition throughout. I would definitely consider slabbing this issue, at the bare minimum, to preserve the signatures. If I had to guess, this issue would grade relatively high, at least 9.0 or better. Obviously, I’m not a professional grader, but just looking at similar comics in similar condition, it seems a pretty safe estimate. I encourage you to examine the photos above and make your own conclusion about its condition before deciding to purchase. There is no COA included with this comic. The previous owner stated that all of the signatures were done at conventions and public appearances throughout the years. I’ve looked at all the individual signatures, and I don’t see anything that would indicate that they are not authentic in any way. Again, I encourage you to examine the signatures in the photos above and make that determination for yourself.
