Up for auction are 6 MARQUIS BY WATERFORD NEW YEARS CELEBRATION "STAR" 11 1/4 INCHES CHAMPAGNE FLUTES ALL IN PERFECT CONDITION . The one price is for all 6 champagne flutes. Each flute measures 11 1/4 inches tall with a top opening diameter of 3 7/8 inches across and sits on a round base of about 3 1/4 inches wide, as seen in the photographs. The crystal flutes are hand blown and hand cut with 4 large starbursts along the top and two large starbursts near the bottom with two smaller starbursts in the middle between the larger ones, as seen in the photographs. Each flute weighs almost 8 ounces and has a capacity of 8 ounces of liquid. T he famous acid-etched "Marquis By Waterford" insignia is acid etched on the base of each flute, as seen in the last photograph . I believe that they were made somewhere between 2007 and 2009, making them between 16 and 18 years old. Although they were purchased from an old estate sale on Long Island and were pre-owned, they are all in perfect condition, with no scratches on its bottom, where scratches would normally be expected to be found, commensurate with its age. I found them sitting in the back on a shelf inside a closed dining room cabinet, where apparently they sat for many years and were probably hardly used, because there are no scratches anywhere. I have been collecting unusual vintage objects for many years, and always try to describe the item as best as I can. There are no scratches, chips, fleabites, stains, or repairs anywhere. These champagne flutes come from a smoke-free home. I only accept PayPal, and never charge extra for packaging and handling.
