Description Pair of vintage Life-Like HO stock cars lettered for the Soo Line (road no. 29647 ). These are the classic slatted livestock cars so many of us ran on train-set ovals—perfect for building out a Midwestern livestock extra, kitbashing into something unique, or weathering into a gritty yard survivor. The Soo Line (nicknamed from Sault Ste. Marie) knit together the upper Midwest—Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the Upper Peninsula—moving cattle and hogs from small-town pens to big city markets. Stock cars like these were the sound of Saturday at the fairgrounds: animals loaded at dusk, ice bunkers nearby for watering stops, a drover riding the caboose to mind the herd.
