These crystals were first discovered in 1986 in the Magaliesberg Mountain Range near Pretoria, South Africa. It occurs as quartz, citrine and amethyst, and comes in a wide range of colors, including purple amethyst, violet amethyst, smoky, milky clear and golden citrine. FAQ/Tips Crystals are priced by quality, color and size. Purple amethyst is more highly prized and will cost more for a smaller lesser quality crystal. Lavender is the most common color and where you will find the best quality/value for price Crystals change colors with changes in type angle and intensity of light. Color may also vary between monitors. Pictures were taken in bright light. We do our best to give you many views so you can judge the quality of the given crystals.
