The E353 series, which began commercial operation in December 2017, is the successor to the E257 series and E351 series that were previously used on the "Azusa" and "Kaiji" lines. Its main feature is that it uses an air spring type car body tilting device and has the same curve passing performance as the E351 series. The simple and powerful design, with an alpine white body and Azusa violet stripe, is full of speed and truly symbolizes a new era of express trains.
