Well, if you remember clearly - Ha ! - this was a very clever little " Promotional Card " that was distributed all throughout that Mammoth ! 1989 Fall Tour - which included the Warlocks / Hampton run - the Miami Arena run - the big-league stand at the Meadowlands, etc.. so keep in mind that these were all Early/Mid October Shows ... so some Grate ! marketing done here, indeed. These were distributed to Dead Fans with a simply message on a Grateful Dead Halloween ! Playing Card style Promo Card with a simply & effective ! message >>> " On Halloween The Dead Rise Again " - with an Arista logo on the bottom ... and most importantly - an Amazing ! Mikio ! Artwork Design on the Front !! Whoa !?! ' Most-Spooky ' indeed ! ... and Real " Grateful-Deadie " too ... Pumpkin & Jack-O-Lantern style !!! And what was behind this ' Mysterious ' G.D. Halloween Playing Card ??? ... Of Course ! A little hidden message that on October 31st, 1989 - on Halloween !!! - " On Halloween The Dead Rise Again " - in the form of their would be Newly-released " Built To Last " Album !!!!! And CD - and Tape - and ' Dead In A Deck ' - and Merchandise, and etc., and etc. ! With the point being that the Official " Release " Day was scheduled to be - and was ... October 31, 1989 - a Little " Trick or Treat !! " from the Grateful Dead !!! And of course, just the way us Deadheads like it - " Trick First ! " and " Treat Second !! " ... wait, is that right ?!?!?! Ha !! And that treat being " Built To Last ! " which indeed ended up being the ' Last & Final ' Album ever release by the Grateful Dead !
