Each fish is introduced with photographs taken in their natural habitat illustrating their habitat and habits. Photographs are used to explain distinctive features that distinguish them from similar species. Depending on the species characteristics such as fry juveniles and adults are explained along with tips for observation. In addition images of loaches which live in murky low-transparency waters were taken in aquariums to clearly distinguish their body patterns. Each species is accompanied by environmental criteria such as its Red List category endemic to Japan or designated invasive species along with information useful for protecting and understanding freshwater fish. Fantastic seller. Item arrived well packaged and as described.
