Smoky Quartz is a variant of the Quartz mineral family which ranges in color from a light gray to darker gray/brown/black and can be transparent to barely translucent. It is the national gem of Scotland, and sacred to the Druids in Celtic cultures. Hecate, the ancient Greek goddess was also associated with Smoky Quartz. Smoky Quartz is thought to help one become balanced and grounded especially with a chaotic life. These beautiful transparent Smoky Quartz beads are not uniform in size, with the smaller pieces measuring ~ 10mm x 6mm and the larger ~ 28mm x 16mm. It is in very good condition.
