Titanium (at room temperature) has a Hexagonal Close-Packed Crystal structure. This atomic structure forces vibrations to travel an extreme Zig-Zag path as it moves along the tube. Every turn absorbs a bit of the vibration and by the time it reaches your seat and handlebar it is just enough to provide a good feel for what’s going on underneath you.
