Felix was Garfield and Heathcliff long before they existed. Star of cartoons, comic strips and comic books, Felix was a cultural touchstone for the first half of the 20th century. Pat Sullivan was credited with creating the character in his animation studio, but the comic strip was drawn by the wickedly talented Otto Mesmer. In this daily, Pop has invited Mr. Oop, a high wire artist, to spend the night. Mom is not pleased as all of the guest rooms are occupied. No worries, as Mr. Oop clearly feels right at home on the clothes-line. Felix is shown in two of the three panels. A cute gag brilliantly rendered by Messmer. TDI Condition : -The art is in very good to excellent overall condition. The board is scored between the second and third panels (probably for mailing). It is able to be folded in half (and will be so shipped). Neat tape reinforcement to reverse. Minor to moderate age/handling wear. Pencil notes to reverse.
