A striking piece of mid-century American vanity history, this jewelry box was fashioned by Farrington — one of the most recognized names in vintage American jewelry box manufacturing. Covered in the company's signature Genuine " Texol" material in rich emerald green with elaborate gold-tone scrollwork and corner ornaments on the lid, the box is trimmed with brass-tone metal corner guards and a center clasp closure. The interior is fully lined in coordinating green velvet with a satin-lined lid panel bearing the Farrington script medallion. The interior also includes a smaller case that can be removed and used for travel making it very convenient and easy to get ready for a trip. Elaborate gold-tone scrollwork ornamentation — the lid features decorative gold corner flourishes and a flowing center scroll design, giving the box a distinctly elegant, jewel-like presentation. Brass-tone hardware and corner guards — all four corners are fitted with protective metal guards, and the front features a sturdy clasp closure, reflecting the quality construction Farrington was known for.
