Description

This rare vintage platter is a beautiful piece of Winfield pottery that was made in Pasadena California in the 1940s. The platter has a tropical island motif. It measures 17 inches in diameter and has a round shape. The platter is made of clay and has a multicolor design. It was hand decorated, painted and signed by the RENOWNED DISNEY ARTIST, TYRUS WONG. This platter was on loan to the Museum of California Design for their exhibit titled "Mid Century Mandarin: The Clay Canvases of Tyrus Wong". On the back side of the platter is marked " Gabriel Pasadena 220" which adds to its authenticity. The platter is in excellent condition. No chips or cracks. It is a unique and rare piece that will make a great addition to any collection.
