At Sight, or whenever due, pay Mrs. Edwin Spalding or order the Second payment of ten dollars due me from the state under an act in addition to an act to provide for the organization of a volunteer militia, and to provide for it's public defense. - Edwin Spalding Company I 18th Regiment Connecticut Volunteers - Witness M.B.
