Description

DETAILS: Original pinback button issued by the Black Panther Party, Sacramento Chapter. Circa 1967. While most of the Panthers buttons were available nationally across the United States, those designating specific cities were intended to identify leaders of the organization and only issued to members of the Panther's Chapter in that particular city. The button in this listing is such an example. Measures 1 1/2" inches in diameter. Rare. The Sacramento Chapter of the Black Panther Party was established in 1967. It was the second Panthers office established -- just after the Oakland headquarters. In 1967 they were instrumental in helping to organize Bobby Seale and other Panthers storming of the California legislature in Sacramento. The Chapter played a pivotal role in the history of the Panther movement. GUARANTEE: We offer a lifetime guarantee on all of our items to be authentic originals issued by the organization stated.
