The Antique Early 19th Century Qing Dynasty Sino-Tibetan Artistic Copper Alloy Figure of Teaching Buddha Shakyamuni. This Finely Cast Copper Alloy Figure Represents Shakyamuni Buddha, Depicted in the Dharmachakra Mudra, the Sacred Gesture Symbolizing the Turning of the Wheel of Dharma, Referring to the Buddha's First Sermon After Enlightenment. Executed in A Refined Sino-Tibetan Artistic Style, the Figure Reflects the Buddhist Devotional Traditions Associated with Qing Dynasty in the Beijing Region. The Buddha is Seated in Meditation Upon A Single Lotus Pedestal with Beaded Borders, A Symbol of Purity and Spiritual Awakening. His Hands are Held Before the Chest Forming the Teaching Gesture, while His Face Conveys Serenity and Compassion with Gently Slanting Brows and A Meditative Expression. Traditional Iconographic Features Include the Raised Urna , Elongated Earlobes, and the Ushnisha Surmounted By A Rounded Jewel Finial Representing Enlightenment. The Monastic Robe Drapes Gracefully Over the Left Shoulder and is Enriched with Finely Engraved Geometric and Auspicious Patterns, Demonstrating Careful Craftsmanship and Elegant Decorative Detail Typical of Sino-Tibetan Buddhist Figures. The Figure Retains Its Original Sealed Base Plate Engraved with A Visvavajra, Indicating the Presence of Sacred Consecration Contents Such As Prayer Scrolls, Textile Fragments, or Ritual Items Placed within During A Buddhist Dedication Ceremony.
