AVO Valve Characteristic Meter Mk IV (Mark 4) – Genuine UK-made unit. With Valve Data Manual. This tester powers on correctly and is fully operational. The meter responds smoothly and accurately during testing, and the unit functions as expected. The only known issue is that the needle does not fully reach the “Short” indicator during the shorts test. This does not prevent the unit from operating, but I have not had it professionally calibrated and it may benefit from servicing depending on your intended use. Physically the unit presents well for its age. The meter glass is clear, switches feel solid, and the internal components are clean. This is a well-preserved example of one of the most respected valve testers ever produced. The Mk IV is highly regarded among collectors, valve amplifier technicians, and radio restorers for its accuracy and build quality.
