1953 Lionel Tender Car w/Whistle in its original box. Let me start by saying I’m definitely not an expert on vintage trains! I’m selling this boxed train car (as well as several others) for a friend and I know very little about it. I’ll mention if I see anything obvious, but I have no way to test this so it’s being sold as-is. That said, my friend told me the entire set was used as recently as this past Christmas, so I would guess it all still functions as it’s supposed to. This car is in good shape w/minor age/play wear but no damage issues I can find. Box has all flaps (one end flap damaged, see pics) and has minor overall storage wear but still very solid and displayable. I think that should cover everything, but please feel free to email questions you may have. Finally, because this is a consignment and I don’t know any history on it, it’s being sold AS-IS with NO RETURNS. See pics for more details. Buyer pays shipping. I gotta admit, this sellers customer service skills are lacking. He'd tell me to ask any questions I'd have, then I'd ask, and then he'd be like: "As I've stated several times already, or "if you had read the description.", kinda thing. Like he was upset with the questions even though he said I could. Lol. However, aside from a little piece that broke off after he took it apart to ship, I glued it back on successfully, I believe, the GI JOE Raider vehicle is a beautiful piece. Looks great! B+ Tx
