Description
Offered here is an original 1890's Print Photograph that shows a string of Five Ore Cars being pulled by a large Mine Locomotive, with one ore car being lowered into place at the back of the line. A classic photograph from Marble, Colorado, based on the steep mountain terrain and the large pieces of white rock in the ore cars. Well detailed with the Mine Loco Operator posed as shown.. Measures 6.50 x 4.75. The mining town of Marble is located not far from Aspen and Glenwood Springs, still producing large quarried pieces of valuable marble today. The Marbel was used in building foundations across the country, as well as crushed to use as ballast. Great display photograph well suited for framing. Thanks for looking!
